Honestly a difficult concept. Having no fear in this world. But it is possible. Jesus brings it home for people who had repeatedly exhibited fear even while being with him, by conquering death. Once they saw him again after the cross, then they gained a fearlessness that is recorded in history (not just the bible) and beyond explanation or comprehension for non-believers whom witnessed and recorded this.
Claudius Galenus recorded this in the second century, as he was a doctor. It was illegal to study dead bodies at this time, so doctors would hang around coliseums where gladiators fought so they could study ‘dying’ bodies to learn more about the human body. It is there where Claudius witnessed Christians who were dying, and the one thing that set them apart was their fearlessness of death.
